He’d spent three months hiring, and still had nobody in the role
When David took over as GM of a mid-sized construction company, he inherited an operations manager vacancy that had been open for four months. The previous owner had tried to fill it himself: written the ad, posted it on Seek, interviewed a few people. None of them worked out.

We start by understanding your business, the role, and what you’re really looking for. Sometimes that means challenging your initial brief, because what you think you need and what you actually need aren’t always the same thing.
We then build a recruitment process that’s proportionate to the role. A senior leadership hire needs a different approach than a team member replacement. We scale our involvement to what makes sense.
Throughout the process, we keep you informed and in control. You make the decisions; we provide the information and expertise to make good ones.
For individuals:
We start with a conversation about where you are, where you want to be, and what’s getting in the way. Then we work together to build the documents and skills you need to get there.
We’re direct about what’s working and what isn’t. If your CV has problems, we’ll tell you. If your interview technique needs work, we’ll say so. Honest feedback is more useful than reassurance.

For employers:
Full recruitment services are charged as a fixed hiring fee, covering the entire process from brief to placement. Contact us for a quote based on the role.
Ad-hoc recruitment support (process review, interview coaching, document writing) is charged at $179 + GST per hour.
For individuals:
All individual career services are charged at $179 + GST per hour.

We work as HR consultants, focused on finding the right fit for your business. We build bespoke recruitment processes, can coach your team on better hiring practices, and bring broader HR expertise to employment-related issues.

Our fixed fee covers the entire recruitment process: role analysis, job description writing, advertising, candidate sourcing, CV screening, shortlisting, interview coordination, reference checking, and offer support. There are no hidden charges for additional advertising, screening tests, or administrative costs.

It depends on the role and the market. A straightforward hire might take four to six weeks. Senior or specialist roles can take longer. We’ll give you realistic timeframes based on the specific role and current market conditions.

We offer a guarantee period for placements made through our full recruitment service. If the placement doesn’t work out within the agreed period, we’ll re-recruit at no additional fee. Terms are agreed before we begin.

Yes. Some clients want us to handle everything. Others want help with specific parts: writing the job description, designing the interview process, or checking references. We charge hourly for ad-hoc support.

You can write your own CV, and many people do. But most CVs we see have common problems: too long, poorly structured, focused on duties rather than achievements, or not tailored to target roles. A professionally written CV typically gets better results. If you’ve been applying and not getting interviews, your CV is likely part of the problem.

Most people benefit from one to two sessions. One session covers the fundamentals and gives you a framework. A second session allows for mock interviews and more detailed feedback. For senior roles or particularly challenging interviews, additional sessions may be helpful.

Yes. When organisations are making multiple roles redundant, we offer group workshops covering job search skills, CV writing, and interview preparation, combined with individual support for each person. This is often more cost-effective than individual programmes and creates peer support among participants.
